Property description

The Goat Mill Road site was prepared under a Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council land reclamation project delivered by British Coal Opencast and completed in 1996. The objectives of the scheme included the provision for employment use on the site.
It comprises level development plateaus of approximately 13.15 hectares (32.5 acres) plus landscaped embankments up to the A4060 dual carriageway and frontage to Goat Mill Road. The total site area is approximately 18.11 hectares (44.75 acres). Access is provided by two roundabout junctions at the northern and southern ends of the site.
The surrounding area to the north is predominantly employment use with a mixture of light industrial, general industrial, storage / distribution and trade counter uses.
There are also residential uses close by and proposals for the land to the south of the site to be developed for new housing.
